Apprenticeships

Do you want to earn as you learn? At Taylor Wimpey we offer paid apprenticeships across our key trades:  carpentry, bricklaying, scaffolding, roofing and painting and decorating.

How does it work?

As well as formal learning, which takes place either at college or in one of our site-based purpose-built learning environments, you will benefit from working alongside our Master Craftsmen who will support the development of your practical trade skills. By working on a live site you will be able to apply your skills and knowledge in the construction of new homes for our customers.

What happens when your apprenticeship is complete?

Depending on the trade you choose, and your level of experience, your apprenticeship should be completed in 3-5 years. You’ll qualify with a level 2 or level 3 diploma in a construction-related discipline and be in a strong position to secure a full-time job with us.

What’s a trade apprenticeship?

Our trade apprenticeship will prepare you for an on-site job, directly with Taylor Wimpey or through one of our trusted and professional sub-contractors. The majority of your time will be spent working with the Production teams on site, supported by a mentor. You’ll also gain formal qualifications through our day release training programmes.
